THE QUILT // Sashiko Denim Leather Velvet Quilt 

 

Made from 5 pairs of vintage Original Levis 501 denim jeans, two vintage genuine leather jackets, a bandana, new luxe velvet, and a whole lot of gunmetal hardware. To envision this in my head and have it slowly come to life felt so fulfilling. This one took me months to make - sourcing the materials, making each unique square, putting it together. This is the thing about upcycling. It can be a challenge sometimes because you can't always find what you're looking for, especially when it's something specific. But the process is what makes it all the more fulfilling in the end. This was the very first quilt I made so it's a special piece for me.
